Furfurylamine is an amine. Its chemical formula is C5H7NO. Industrially, it is synthesized from furfural.

The pharmaceutical drug furtrethonium, a parasympathomimetic cholinergic, is a derivative of furfurylamine.

Furfurylamine is used in organic synthesis.The potent diuretic furosemide can be obtained by condensation with 2, 4-dichloro-5-aminosulfonyl benzoic acid.Furosemide has a strong and fast diuretic effect and is necessary for the treatment of subsevere edema. Furfuryl amine is also used as an anticorrosive agent.
